A Trip to the Moon

A Trip to the Moon, by Georges Melies, a french film, is what i understand to be one of the first sci-fi films to make debut in cinema. Although the film has a lot of elements in it, mainly is special effects and acting, that wouldn’t be held in such high regard with today’s movie watching audience, it should be looked at as extremely ground breaking and astonshing for the lack of computer technology and overall access to the same things that movies have nowadays to do such things as space travel and special effects in general. It should also be seen to be very facsinating that the director in a sense, predicted an event that woulnd’t happen until about 60 years after his film was debuted in 1902.
